Cross Country Diggin: Episode 4 (Back Home)
This is a special edition of Cross Country Diggin. I'm gonna take you the best place you can ever go diggin, BACK HOME at a relative's place! Imagine diggin thru records of nothing but music you grew up on! So welcome to Fayetteville, NC where I get my hands on some classic gospel records!!!!
MAKE SURE YOU CHECK OUT: The Best Spot to Go Diggin
The Best Spot to Go Diggin
There are plenty of spots all around the world to go diggin. With all the diggin I have done, the best place I have been was at HOME! Diggin thru your grandparents, parents, uncles, aunts, cousins, or in-laws' vinyl is significant. Most of the time it brings you back to a certain point in life because these records are the ones you grew up on. The only downfall to diggin at a relative's place is that you can't always go back to dig. Once you get all of their records, thats it. Its not like your favorite local spot where you can go every week and there are always records there.
Most of you have probably already went diggin at your relative's place. Some of you walked away with a lot of records and some of you probably left with none after coming across that uncle that won't give up his vinyl collection. You may have to go in a dirty attic and fight spiders or go out in some old shed that could have all kinds of wildlife but if you haven't been yet, I suggest you do so because its definitely a treat.
Recently I had the chance to go diggin back home. Check out the vid HERE.

Mixtape Coffee Table
This coffee table is a 12:1 scaled replica of a cassette tape. It is
made of reclaimed maple, walnut and lucite. Dimensions are 47.25″ x 30″ x
5″ with a 3/8″ plexi top. This is a first prototype and one of a kind
table. Future versions will be CNC machined out of high grade plywood
with a variety of ply combinations and a glass top. This table has been
an obsession of mine for 5 years! It is amazing to finally have it come
to fruition. The table is completely reversible (sides A and B).

MaLLy & The Sundance Kid — The Last Great... (Free Album)
There's nothing worst being disappointed by the music of an overly-hyped artist. On the flip side, there's nothing better than randomly landing on great artists with great music. I never heard of Minneapolis emcee MaLLy nor producer The Sundance Kid, but I'm a fan as of today.
Their collaborative album, The Last Great… is solid piece from start to finish down to the very dope artwork by Keith Eric Williams. Stand out tracks for me are Swallowing the Reign, The Renaissance 2.0, and Unplugged feat. Brother Ali.

50 Cent - The Lost Tape

I always hear negativity about 50 Cent but you gotta give him his credit. After ALL of his success, he still drops good material. Most of the time, an artist has a little success and their whole personality changes. There are some certified joints on here and overall I don't think its bad.

Nametage - Quarter Water Vol. 1

Nametag was raised in Detroit, Michigan, where the hip hop scene is vibrant and full of energy. It was through this environment that Nametag began to develop his skills. His name stands for having your own identity. This is his mark and it lets the people know who he is. The 'Tag part is from a metaphor from how grafitti artists tag their names when putting their artwork on display.
He knew he was headed on the right road when he landed his first official studio recording alongside Black Milk on a track titled “Real Life” on a Slum Village compilation titled Dirty District Vo.l 1 (2002). From that point forward, he started gaining recognition by making guest appearances on releases such as B.R. Gunna’s “Dirty District Vol. 2 (2003), Sound of the City (2005), Broken Wax (2007) Popular Demand (2007), The Set Up (2008) and so on. He began releasing his own projects in 2007. Now with a new era of Michigan hip hop music expanding, Nametag is dead center in its growth and riding the wave to the top of the line.

BLAT! Pack beatsmith KuroiOto presents his latest work, "The May 3rd EP" lovingly dedicated to his muse on the day of their anniversary. An affectionate mosaic of original poetry, beats and sampled offerings diving into his fondness for her energy. Raekwon x Masta Killa Reflect on Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
Nonstop Sound spoke with Raekwon and Masta Killa of the Wu-Tang Clan on the importance of their seminal album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) almost two decades after its release. Raekwon said the group’s members all hit lyrical “home runs,” and Masta Killa added they were filling a “void” in hip-hop. This album is a definite must-have in your hip-hop collection. Enjoy and be educated.
