Not much to say. Its Hip Hop.
This is it. Some of our contribution to Hip Hop. I will let the album speak for itself, so please support it.
Hip Hop lost one of the great ones today. I’m not trying to sound cliché, but Prodigy was one of the few artists in my permanent playlist. As a producer, he was at the top of my dream collaboration list. I have made plenty of beats picturing Prodigy laying verses to them. This is one of the beats I made with him in mind. Get the download HERE.
This is a hard one to write… Today the world lost one of the dopest artist to ever touch the mic! Prodigy, has died at 42.
I still remember back in 95′ when my God brother, Patrick, and I would sit on the porch all summer long bumping joints like Mobb Deep, Lost Boyz, Onyx and all them New York crews that had the game on lock! Days and nights planning moves and decisions that would change our lives have always been with Mobb Deep playing in the back round. Till this day ThaLookout staff has ‘The Infamous’ on rotation…We lost a great one today.
Rest in peace Prodigy.
Here is the latest episode of Rhythm Roulette with Daringer. You gotta have Hip Hop in your veins to put out production like this.
This is the album art for Bars Over Dope Beats, the new album from Kay Flow and myself that will be released on June 30th. Simplicity is a theme for this album. The album title itself is a reminder that 2 of the basic elements in regards to Hip Hop music is bars and dope beats. A lot of the music that is being passed off as Hip Hop lacks these 2 elements. The cover is a photo of Kay Flow and myself in the studio. You see the vinyls, MPC, maschine, and Kay Flow reciting rhymes from the iPad. The cover sums up our creation process.
